Frank Dunning is the father of Jake Epping's adult education student, Harry Dunning.[2] He runs the family business, Dunning Butchers. ("The Kill Floor")

 Biography

Frank Dunning was married to Bill Turcotte's sister, Clara, and had a child with her. In 1948 he killed her and the child, then buried them. Because Bill was a child at the time, no one believed him when he said Dunning was responsible for the murders. Their bodies were never found. ("The Kill Floor")

Frank subsequently married again to Doris and had three children by her: two sons, Tugga and Harry, and a daughter, Ellen.

On Halloween night in 1960, Frank killed his wife, Ellen and Tugga in a drunken rage. Harry was the only one who survived. However, Harry sustained injuries which left him mentally disabled. ("The Rabbit Hole")

Alternate Timeline

Jake Epping goes back in time to 1960 to try to make 2016 Harry's life better by stopping Frank from killing his family. Jake tries to get them out of town, but Frank discovers the ruse and stops them. That night, Jake goes to Harry's house and gets into a fight with Frank. Jake garrotes Frank and kills him. ("The Kill Floor")
